Mark Albrecht - CPA, MST
Chief Executive Officer

Mark is responsible for the strategic direction of XCM Solutions and is directly involved with product development. He is also CEO and founder, of Xpitax (an XCM Solutions company), which provides outsourcing solutions to the accounting profession. Previously, he was president and a founding shareholder of KAF Financial Group and has over 28 years of experience in public accounting, specializing in tax services. KAF Financial Group consists of a 50 person accounting firm with consulting divisions focusing on human resource, technology solutions, business valuations and a financial advisor group.

Mark holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting from Boston College and a Master of Taxation degree from Bentley College in Waltham, MA. He currently holds securities Series 6 and 66 licenses from the Securities and Exchange Commission. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants. Mark’s past experience in implementing a paperless office within KAF Financial Group and his pioneering approach in developing outsourcing solutions through Xpitax provides a unique perspective of how to develop and incorporate useful technology within a CPA firm.

Mark has extensive experience presenting on topics related to accounting, firm operations, technology and business process outsourcing. In addition to several Webinar series, Mark has presented at the 2006 Management Summit and events hosted by the State Societies of Louisiana, California, and Massachusetts, as well as organizations such as Boomer Consulting and 2020USA. Mark was named one of Accounting Today’s “Top 100 Most Influential People” in the accounting profession in 2008 and 2009.

 


Glen Keenan - CPA

Glen Keenan is the President of XCM Solutions. He has extensive experience in public accounting, having worked at the Boston Office of Deloitte & Touche for almost a decade. He specialized in the paperless workpaper environment, internal controls and risk assessment. He has also been an active contributor to the high tech community in the Boston area, having most recently served as the financial officer of a software company specializing in workflow, and document management.

Glen is a current member of the Advisory Board of Lexalytics and a member of their audit committee. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Boston College. 

Glen is a frequent speaker on issues related to technology and practice management, and has presented at regional and national events hosted by organizations including Boomer Consulting, RAN ONE, SourceMedia, 2020USA, CPA Network, Principa, CPAPlus Network, and the Leading Edge Alliance. Glen is also a regular contributor and resource for professional journals and periodicals, and was named to The CPA Technology Advisor’s “40 Under 40” list of influencers in the accounting profession in 2007, 2008 and 2009.

 


Gary S. Spaulding - CISSP, MCSE, MCNE, MCT, CCNA, CTT

Gary has over 19 years experience designing and supporting network infrastructures. After working with Novell networks for several years, he became a Charter Member Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) specializing in Microsoft Back Office solutions in 1993. Involved with Windows NT, Active Directory, SMS, SQL Server, and Exchange since their beta development versions, Gary's experience with Microsoft technologies is extensive.

For five years, he worked exclusively in the Data Center industry, designing redundant, load-balanced, high-availability systems and networks supporting Internet commerce sites. He has also designed large-scale (over 35,000 users) Disaster Recovery / Business Continuity Plans (DR/BCP) that address network failure scenarios. Gary is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and has worked extensively for one of the Common Criteria Testing Labs (CCTL) evaluating security evidence as part of the Common Criteria Evaluation and Validation Scheme (CCEVS), an internationally recognized method of certifying security related hardware and software solutions. 

In a previous life, Gary was a professional clarinetist, holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Jordan College of Fine Arts, studied at  Peabody Conservatory, and has performed around the world.
